A Wellness Exam
Our greatest tool for preventative medicine is the wellness exam. A thorough examination of your animal can allow for early detection and treatment of problems that they are otherwise unable to tell us about. The wellness exam is also an opportunity to discuss ongoing health issues and adjust treatment, review vaccine requirements, consider blood work or further diagnostics that may be recommended at various life stages, and to evaluate need for parasite control.
Surgery
Our clinic has a fully equipped surgery suite where we do various types of soft tissue surgery on small animal and exotic species. Cranial cruciate surgery is also performed by Dr. Muzyka on smaller breed dogs.
Exotics? Come on Down!
Exotic animal species have always been welcomed at Ottewell, whether they have fur, feathers, or scales. Dr. Pettifor has been working with these special creatures for over 15 years and continues to be inspired by the unique human-animal bonds that owners often develop with these less conventional pets.
Don't Forget To Brush
We routinely do dental exams, cleanings and surgeries at our facility. Good oral health is a critical contributor to a long and healthy life for our animals.
X-Rays
Digital radiography (X-rays) is another rapid and safe way for us to assess the physical health of your animal. The digital technology allows information to be shared and reviewed by referral specialists when needed.
Kibbles and Meds
We maintain a well stocked pharmacy and shelves of commonly prescribed foods for the convenience of our clients. Special order foods are readily available with our weekly order.
